To provide technical expertise on the packaging lines by conducting equipment set-up, adjustments & minor preventative maintenance in order to meet all standards for safety, quality & productivity.
Assist in setting up & reviewing the Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) process.
Optimise line performance by assisting in the set-up of machines.
Optimise line performance by conducting minor unplanned maintenance.
Conduct maintenance according to a defined procedure and schedule.
Escalate all major breakdowns to the Engineering team.
Support installation of new plant and equipment.
Support the commissioning of new and existing plant & equipment.
Assist in training Line Leaders & Operators to achieve optimum machine operation and performance.
Reduce line stoppage by improving line performance & machine availability.
Attend & contribute to daily production team meetings.
Identify opportunities to drive continuous improvement.
Complete & submit job cards for planned and unplanned work.
Support Process & Projects Engineers to complete Root Case Analysis (RCA’s) for all unplanned work.
Review preventative maintenance checks and update as deemed necessary.
Follow authorised process for spares requisitions.
Update critical spares list as deemed necessary.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Technical Qualification NQF 4 –6.
Previous knowledge of working on packaging machines – (Human-machine Interface) HMI driven.
Previous work experience within a FMCG environment.
Prior knowledge of ISO standards.
Knowledge of problem-solving techniques.
