A company within the Manufacturing industry is seeking a accounting professional with a background in manufacturing with strong Accounting, Costing & Financial Reporting experience.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Managing the process of timeously and accurate financial reporting, including but not limited to:
  • Monthly management accounts
  • Forecasts
  • Budgets
  • Managing of day-to-day financial operations through directly management of the finance department employees and indirect involvement in operations, including but not limited to:
  • Cash management (daily)
  • Accounts Receivable
  • Accounts Payable
  • Product costing (BOM’s)
    • Oversee the administrative processes in other operational departments (review, analyse and monitor operations, budgets and operating policies)
  • Monthly reporting of the financial performance to the EXCO
  • Budget preparation and management thereof
  • Maintain and improve internal control environment through management and implementation of policies and procedures
  • Manage annual financial audits as well as oversee the preparation of the annual financial statements
  • Other key functions include, but not limited to:
  • Banking activities
  • Oversee and manage capital investments (capex)
  • KPI measurements for all direct report employees

Provide training and guidance to all direct report employees

  • Continuous focus on system improvements, including setup thereof
  • Provide insightful information and expectations to senior executives to aid in long-term planning
  • Handle the company`s statutory activities

Desired Experience & Qualification

  • Accounting degree – (CIMA advantageous)
  • Strong experience in manufacturing environment
  • 5+ years experience in accounting role
  • ERP administration – Syspro – non negotiable
  • Good working knowledge of Bill of Materials, Work in progress
  • Very strong Excel skills required
